  6. SOZAIJITEN is a collection of royalty-free image data.
  7. It is a hybrid CD-ROM that can be used for both Macintosh and Windows.
  8. A special browser helps you easily find the materials you need.
  9. Two resolution levels are available for a wide range of uses, including
  10. printed matter and multimedia.

  31. How to Use the Browser for Windows

  33. [Starting up]

  35. Open the CD-ROM drive from "MyComputer" and double click the "Browser.exe"
  36. icon.

  38. * Set your display to 256 colors or more.

  42. - Scroll
  43. Click the click button to scroll one or four lines at a time.
  44. You can jump to a targeted destination using the scroll bar.

  46. - Display of Path Names
  47. A red frame appears around the material clicked and the path name of
  48. the low-resolution file (BMP File) will be displayed on the lower part 
  49. of the screen.
  50. Click while pressing the [Shift] key to show the path name of the
  51. high-resolution file (JPEG File).
  52. Press Ctrl+C to copy the path name of the file.
  53. Press Ctrl+V to paste the copied filename. Use this function to paste
  54. a filename onto the Windows' [File Search] dialog, etc.
  55. Functions for calling images directly from the browser, or pasting 
  56. images on the browser themselves onto the clipboard are not available.

  59. [How to Use Files]

  61. When capturing SOZAIJITEN images into other application software, 
  62. first copy the file onto the hard disc and then capture them.
  63. Fifty files are recorded into CD-ROM folders JPEG2950, BMP640, PICT640,
  64. in numerical order respectively. On Windows, PICT files may be used 
  65. only in applications supporting the PICT form. Select the file type 
  66. according to the application, and copy the file numbered that you need 
  67. to use onto an optional folder on the hard disc. For instructions as 
  68. to how to capture images in application software, refer to the manual
  69. of the applicationsoftware concerned. Generally, select such menus as
  70. [Open File] or [Read File].
